Obituary, The Oklahoman, Sat, Feb 6, 1937:
--Brief Illness is Fatal for War Veteran--Earl Kohn was Operator of City Cafes--Earl Kohn, 47 years old, World War I veteran who owned and operated seven Oklahoma City restaurants, died Friday at a city hospital of pneumonia after a brief illness.

Kohn came to Oklahoma City from western Oklahoma when he was a boy. After he returned from overseas, where he was a member of 115th field artillery, he operated the restaurants, both in the business and suburban sections. He retired several months ago.

Survivors include his wife (Della R); two brothers, J C Kohn, Walnut Grove CA; and S W Kohn, Medford OR; and four sisters, Mrs Effie Frank, Mrs Mildred Kenton, and Mrs Beryl Hixson, all of Medford; and Mrs Theresa Maples, Red Bluff CA.
