Lula attended school in Elberton, Georgia. Lula was a diligent, hard worker who took pride in loving and providing for her family. She retired from being a domestic engineer in 2000.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Where she joined Vance Creek Church. She later moved to Hartwell, Georgia where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church Hartwell. During her many moves she attended various churches until her health began to fail her.

At the time of her death she resided at Signature Healthcare of Buckhead.

Early in her life she was married to Phillip G. Scandrett to their union four children were born.

Son, Willie James Scandrett,
Brother, Clifford Adams.
