Homer Ward Answers Last Call Saturday

Homer Ward, aged 42 years, of South 17th street, Murphysboro, died at his home Saturday at 11:30 p.m. Death was due to silicosis?.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Ward; one daughter, Alma Louise; three sons, John, Delmar and Homer Lee; two brothers, Clarence and J. W. Ward, all of this city; three sisters,Mrs Myrtle Tippet, Olney, Ill., Mrs. Mamie Shamblin, Hurst, Ill., and Mrs. Cenia Golliher, Murphysboro, Ill.

The deceased was born October 19, 1890 in Ava. He had been a resident of this city about 25 years. At the time of death Mr. Ward was employed by the American Mineral Corporation. Previously he had worked as a brakeman on the Mobile & Ohio railroad for five years and was connected with the Standard Oil company about eight years. He is a member of the Masonic lodge.

Mr. Ward was a member of the Baptist church of Ava. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church of Murphysboro at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Interment at Tower Grove cemetery
