Visitation will be from 1-7:00 pm with family present from 5-7:00 pm Friday, February 10 at the Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home Fellowship Hall, located directly east of the funeral home.
Ralph Hubert Lutter was born on June 3, 1918 to Adam and Alice (Woodruff) Lutter at their family home in rural Ashton. He graduated from Ashton High School with the class of 1937. Ralph was accepted into SD School of Mines and Technology. Due to the Depression, he did not attend college, but remained at home to become a joint partner in the family farm.
On June 3, 1948 he married Jeanette Miller in Aberdeen.
They made their home on the family farm near Ashton. They had four children.
Ralph was a charter member of the Redfield Assembly of God Church where he was a past Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher and was active in other church functions. He was also a member of First Assembly of God Church, Aberdeen.
After many years of farming and raising livestock, Ralph and Jeanette enjoyed traveling, site seeing and visiting their children and grandchildren throughout the US and Europe.
Grateful for having shared Ralph's life are his children, Kathy Hunt, Betty (Alan) Kruse, Patricia (David) Laughlin, Robert (Linda) Lutter, grandchildren, Stephanie (K.C.) Hildenbrand, Jamie (Chris) Phillips, Kari (Keegan) Bullis, Tricia Laughlin, Katie Laughlin, Alexia (Nathan) Mills, Alisha (Eric) Nixon, Adrianna, Jesse and Joseph, great grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Claire, Avery, Carson, Cooper, Landon, Broden, Jacob, and Samantha.
Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette, parents, Adam and Alice Lutter, sister, Arlene Fortin and baby sister
