Ashton – Arlene Vaughn Fortin, 77, Ashton, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999 at Aberdeen Living Center in Aberdeen.
Survivors include her husband, Lyle Fortin, Ashton; five children, Marlene Eimers, Redfield, Harlan Fortin, Wall, Sue Long, Clifton, Kan., Calvin Fortin, Ashton, and Marion Fortin, St. Joseph, Ill.; one brother Ralph Lutter, Ashton; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield, with the Rev. Roger Geditz officiating. Burial will be at Ashton City Cemetery.
