Byford R. Malin of Waltonville passed away 5:50 a.m. at Crossroads Community Hospital Feb.21,2005.He was born Aug.15,1915, to George and Maggie(Newton)Malin in Franklin County.He married Dortha (Harvill)Malin.May 22,1937,in Jefferson County,she passed away March 10,1998.He is survived by a son, Thomas R.Malin and wife Audrey of Dalgren,and three daughters,Lenda L. Scott and husband Daniel of Waltonville,Anita Kisner and Phyllis Davis and husband Don of Mt.Vernon.He was preceded in death by his parents;his wife;a daughter,Glenda Johnston;a grandson,Karl Kisner and wife Pam;a stepgrandson,Brian Dycus;a great-grandson.Jesse Kisner;a son-in-law,Marvin Kisner;a brother Clyde Malin and a sister , Ethel Mae Summers.In addition to his children,he is survived by 16 grandchildren;26 great-grandchildren;and five great-great-grandchildren. Mr Malin was an oil field worker for many years. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon,Ill.Per his wishes ,Mr.Malin will be cremated and burial will be at Wolf Prairie Cemetery at a later date.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home,where you may call 242-3348 for further information.
