George W. Schoppe is the son of Joseph Warren Chase Schoppe and Mary Emerson. George died in the U.S. Army, and served in Co. B 11th ME vols in the Civil War. George was unmarried. Spellings of this name include SCHOPPE, SCHOPPEE, SHOPPE, SHOPPEE and SHOPPY.)
