Ft Fisher and was captured in
the Battle of Bentonville, March
19, 1865. Imprisoned at Point
Lookout, MD until released after
taking Oath of Allegiance June
20, 1865. Prior to serving in
the artillery he had served on
the Blockade Runner "Advance.
May have continued to sail on
the Advance as part of his
assignment at Ft. Fisher.
