Mr. Yowell was a former member and deacon of Beth Car Baptist Church and now a member of F. T. Baptist Church in Sperryville, where he grew up. He played Minor League Baseball for the White Sox organization in the 50's, a businessman and Agri-Businessman in Madison for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Tinsley Powell Yowell; a daughter, Karen Yowell Warman; two sons, Carlton Yowell and Stuart Yowell; two brothers, Everett Yowell and John A. Yowell; two sisters, Peggy Y. Eure and Betty Jane Hall and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, with interment in Etlan Cemetery.
