"Mrs. Lydia Clark, aged 96, widow of Charles Clark and mother of Dr. Stanley Clark, South Bend physician, died Sunday [19 Feb 1950] in Detroit, Mich. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Babcock. She had been active in the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Galien, Mich., until moving to Detroit. Mrs. Clark was one of Galien's pioneer residents. Elder J. W. McKnight will officiate at rites in Galien, time for which has not been set pending Dr. Clark's return from Florida" (Source: South Bend (Ind.) Tribune of Monday, 20 February 1950).
