Of West Allis, was called to the Lord to his Eternal Home on Thurs., Sept. 4, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Russell was born Nov. 3, 1914 in the township of St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, WI, the son of Peter and Gunda (Floistad) Egeland. In 1940, Russell moved to West Allis, WI where he was employed at Harley Davidson Motor Co. for 36 years. On May 31, 1941, he was united in marriage to Alice Taggart. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Shirley (Anthony) Curreri of Kewaskum, WI; a son James (Deanna) Egeland of West Allis, WI; 5 grandchildren, Anthony Curreri, Lindsey, Garett, Marissa and Tyler Egeland. He is also survived by 1 niece Judy (Bob) Schmidt and children of Iola, WI and 2 nephews, Lee (Ann) Egeland of Sussex, Duane (Elizabeth) Egeland and children of Newark, OH; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Norman (Evelyn) of Iola, WI and a twin brother Royal (Eileen) of Skokie, IL. Russell was a veteran of WW II, having served in the Pacific area for 3 years. Russell enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bowling and the love of his grandchildren. Funeral Service Mon., Sept. 8 at 10:30 AM at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 5500 W. Greenfield Ave. Visitation Sun., Sept 7 from 2-5 PM at the Funeral Home and Mon. from 9:30 AM until time of Service. Interment Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Ev.
