Bro. Mason N. He was the father of seven children when his wife died. He afterwards married Miss Mary Modisette, November 1896 and died in his home near Minerals Springs, La. June 11th 1907 aged 69 years two months 14 days. He was a good citizen, a devoted husband, and an indulgent father. He was a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 20 years before his death. He leaves a wife, seven children and a host of friends to mourn his death.
Greive not, dear one for he is not dead but sleepeth. We know it is hard to part with our loved ones here in this world, but oh, how sweet to know when they are gone from us here, they are gone home to their Father in Heaven, where there are robes of white and starry crowns laid away for all who obey the Lord and do his will. We should not mourn as those that have no hope, but strive to do our duty and be prepared to meet them again where there will be no more pain, no sickness, nor death to those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
He was the Son of Edmond and Milly Nails Crump. His Children were Mary Frances, Thomas Mason, James D., Emmer L., Julian Festus, John Edmond, R. Erastus, George Charles, Drew Clinton, Cornelius Lafayette, Vergal Paskel, and Denar.
