John Wesley McMillen, 89, Oologah farmer since 1930, retiring in 1951, died Saturday at a Collinsville hospital after a short illness, leaving 123 decendants over three generations.
A native of Lebanon, Missouri, John and his wife Sarah Elizabeth ahd celebrated thier 60th wedding anniversary in 1961.
He is survived in addition to the widow, by six sons, including Clyde McMillen, of Grovespring Missouri, Audrey and Raymond McMillen both of Oologah Oklahoma and Arthur McMillen of Ramona Oklahoma; six daughters, Mrs. Nora Calton and Mrs. Audrey Moore, both of Grovespring, Missouri, Mrs. Laura Sunday and Mrs. Ruby Whillhite, both of Oologah, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Irene Colvin, of Collinsville, Oklahoma.; two half-sisters, 55 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Hill Freewill Baptist Church west of here, of which he was a member. Internment will be in Wann Cemetery, directed by Collinsville Funeral Home.
