Audrey Ester Moore, daughter of John and Sarah Elizabeth Miller McMillen, was born December 11, 1909, near Grovespring, Missouri. She departed her life Monday, December 20, 1999, in Balanced Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninty years, and nine days.
On February 17, 1928, she was united in marrieage to Lloyd Walter Moore, and to this union four daughtersand four sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter, on May 29, 1997; and seven brothers and sisters.
Audrey is survived by four daughters, Syble Robinson, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Shirley Pearce, and her husband, Ray, of Dixon, Missouri, Sharlene Benton, and her husband, Edsel, of Dustin, Florida, and Sharon Smalling, and her husband Bob, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sons, Waldo W. Moore, and his wife, Dottie, of Grovespring, Missouri, Wallace Moore, and his wife, Katheryn, of Warsaw, Missouri, Joye Moore, of Hermitage, Missouri, and Jack Moore, and his wife, Rita, of Nixa, Missouri; twenty-seven grandchildren; a number of great-grand children; great-great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond and Arthur McMillen, both of the State of Oklhoma, and Bill McMillen, of the State of Texas; three sisters, Irene Collins, Jean Wood, and Ruby Wilhite, all of the State of Oklahoma; several neices and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Grovespring community. After she and Walter were married, they made their home on their dairy and crop farm near Grovespring, Missouri, and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Audrey was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
Audrey made her profession of faith in Crist early in her life, and was a longtime member of Mount Zion (Cuba) Freewill Baptist Church, near Grovespring.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, working in her garden and traveling. Her family was very important to her and she especally enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Audrey was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the wonderful memories she made for her family and friends will live on forever.
