Mrs. Elizabeth Fawner, a widowed daughter of the late Simon and Sarah Humbert Tedrow, died at her home in Detroit, Mich., Feb. 7, 1931, at the age of 63
years, 9 months and 14 days. Her son and only child, Albert H. Fawner, a clothing dealer of Detroit, Mich., brought the body to Salisbury, to the old
parental home now owned by her brother, George Tedrow, where many of her old-time friends called to pay their last sad respects to her memory and view her
remains, before being interred in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Wednesday afternoon under the direction of Funeral Director J. L. Tressler, of Meyersdale.
Deceased was wedded to the late Russell Fawner, of Meyersdale, who died some years ago, and she remained a widow for the remainder of her life. After
becoming a widow she resided in Salisbury for a number of years, but finally drifted to larger towns, where she could earn more at her occupation, which was
that of a seamstress. Her final place of residence was Detroit, where for the last few years she was in very poor health, and suffered much from an incurable
nervous trouble. Her son was with her during her last illness, and did all he could for her comfort.
In addition to her son, Mrs. Fawner is survived by brothers and sisters as follows: John H. Tedrow, of Youngstown, Ohio; George and Harvey Tedrow, of
Salisbury; Frank Tedrow of Tire Hill, Pa.; Mrs. Ellen Chaney, of Garrett; Irvin Tedrow, of Saxton; Cleveland Tedrow and Mrs. John Walters, of Akron, Ohio.
The funeral service was held at the home of her brother, George Tedrow, at 3 p.m., Wednesday, the 11th inst., Rev. E. D. Bright officiating.
