Claude Bartlett, 84, Miles City, Dies
Miles City--Claude Bartlett, 84, retired telephone wire chief, passed away early Saturday morning in a Miles City hospital after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 27, 1881 at West Union, Ill. He came to Montana in 1910 and the next year was employed as a telephone lineman, retiring in 1946 as wire chief.
He was active in Masonic, Eastern Star and Elks Lodges.
Surviving are two sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday in Graves Chapel.
