John Davis and his wife, Elizabeth Rhorer Davis formally gave one acre for Mt. Pleasant Church and Cemetery, in 1880. The church had already been on the site for many years, the building having been financed by her father, who originally owned the ground.

John Davis' grave is marked with a fieldstone only, next to wife, Elizabeth Davis.

2. Elizabeth Rhorer
Aug. 26, 1844, in Decatur Co., Indiana
