Blood Poison Proves Fatal
The reported serious illness of D.A. Bickel in last weeks Press, ended fatally, before many of our readers received their papers, he passing away at 11:30 Thursday night. The following obituary pays tribute to a good citizen
OBITUARY
David Andrew Bickel was born July 13th 1952 at Crawfordsville, Ind. and answered the final summons Nov. 13th 1913 at his home southeast of Remington.
At the age of four years he moved with his parents to Lacon, Marshal Co., Ill. where he spent his childhood days. When he was fifteen the family moved to Chenoa, Ill. where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Schanlan, Dec. 14th 1878 and they moved to Remington in 1893 where they have since resided.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and five children, two sons, Jason and David, three daughter Misses Elsie and Agnes at home, and Mrs. Ruth O'Connor of Logansport.
The following brothers and sister survive, William of Agency, Iowa, George of Glendale Oregon, Mrs. John Batrum of Lexington, Ill., Mrs. Susan Lane of Cameron, Ill., and Mrs. Barbara Batrum of La Rose, Ill.
