Funeral services for LV "Buddy" Hallman, of Hazlehurst, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, at Damascus Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 3 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Hallman, 86, died Feb. 2, 2012, at Pine Crest Guest Home. He was born in Mississippi on Jan. 24, 1926, to MV and Maggie Mohon Hallman.

He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, William Hallman; and sisters, Bobbie Nell Bouchard and Elizabeth Coker.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Doris Channell Hallman; son, Danny Carroll Hallman and wife, Melanie; daughters, Debra Chatham and husband, Johnny, and Cathy McGuffee and husband, Greg; brothers, Frank Hallman and Jimmy Hallman; sisters, Helen Noto and Betty Gutkowski; two grandchildren, Adam and Anna McGuffee; one step-granddaughter, Claire Chatham Lynch and husband, Mike; and one step-great-granddaughter, Beatrix Lula Lynch.

Memorials may be made to Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mr. LV "Buddy" Hallman.
