David Frank Hallman, 78, passed away May 20, 2013 at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Wednesday at Damascus Baptist Church. Services will be 10am Thursday at Damascus Baptist Church with burial at Damascus Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mr. Hallman was a lifetime member of Damascus Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with heavy equipment and raising cows.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daphne Dodds Hallman, parents, M.V. and Maggie Mohon Hallman, brothers, Bill Hallman and Buddy Hallman, and sisters, Elizabeth Adams and Bobbie Nell Bouchard.
He is survived by daughter, Deanna Alford (Billy, Jr.) of Wesson; sons, David Glenn Hallman, Michael Frank Hallman, and Orlando Smith all of Hazlehurst; sisters, Betty Lou Gutkowski of Dallas, TX and Helen Noto of Metairie, LA; brother, Jimmy Hallman of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Leslie Hallman Messer, Hayley Alford, Lindsey Alford, Brady Alford, and Courtney Newman; and great grandchildren, Shelby Jenkins and Wyatt Newman.
