Sue B. Farley, 79, of Lubbock passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1924, in Greenville, Texas, to Tony and Kate Thompson and moved to Lubbock as a small child. Sue married W.J. "Dub" Farley Jr. on Sept. 30, 1939, in Brownfield.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shallowater. She was a homemaker and the backbone for her husbands ministry and loved by everyone who met her. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 26, 2002, and a grandson, Jason Farley.
Those left to mourn her passing are a son, Wayland M. Farley of Fountain, Colo.; two daughters, V. Louise Grissom of Tulsa, Okla., and D. Lanelle Wiggins of Shallowater; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie Spencer, Timothy Grissom, Donna Rowden, Donnie Wiggins, Kent Grissom, Darren Farley, Brad Farley, Michael Wiggins, Teresa Stepp, Jell Conover, Dawn Nichalsen, and Amy Lathan; and 30 great-grandchildren.
