Daughter of George Giles (born 1830 in Wield Hampshire England) and his 2nd wife Elizabeth Thorn(e) 1841 of Preston Candover Hampshire England. George, Elizabeth and the remaining 4 children arrived in Utah in September 1868 joining Georges brother William in Springville. Harriet was Georges and Elizabeth's 10th child of 12. she married MILAN COLLINGWOOD BLACKETT on 24 Dec 1903. Milan died in 1926 and Harriet was to marry Edward Williams on 18 Apr 1939. he was to die in 1946 and is buried along side his 1st wife Elizabeth Jane Bowen. Harriet upon her death was buried along side Milan and they are commemorated with a joint stone, Harriet being inscribed as Harriett F Giles and the birth and death and the marriage date connects both hers and Milan under the Blackett name.
