The Oklahoman, Tuesday, December 11, 1979:
Clifford J. Peek Jr, 58, of Oklahoma City, died suddenly after a sudden illness at Veteran's Hospital. Services Tuesday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Chapel. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. He was born at Shawnee, OK, and came to Oklahoma City in 1925.

A longtime employee at Tinker Air Force Base Photo Lab, recently transferred to FAA Photo Lab. He was a free lance social and commercial photographer, and patron and friend of Oklahoma artists. A member of the Church of Christ Scientists, and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in 1950.

During World War II, Mr Peek flew with the 8th Air Force as an Aerial Photographer. His aircraft was shot down over the Zuider Zee (Netherlands) and he spent the duration as Prisoner of War. Survived by his wife, Mrs Clifford (Gloria) Peek Jr; his mother, Mrs Clifford J. Peek Sr; sister, Mrs S. T. Hardin Sr; 2 nephews and 1 niece.
