Mrs. Harriette Norwood Harley Woodard, 88, passed away early Saturday morning (November 28, 2020) in Woodstock, GA following an extended illness.

She was born in Waycross, GA to the late Paul Norwood Harley, Jr. and Harriette Ruth Mobley Harley. She graduated from Waycross High School in 1949 and received her bachelor of arts degree from Huntingdon College in 1953. Mrs. Woodard retired from Okefenokee RESA as an administrative assistant and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waycross. She will mostly be remembered for being an exceptional wife, mother, and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Albert Lennon “Al” Woodard; a daughter, Allison Woodard Carter; and a sister, Ruth Carol Harley.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Woodard Pittman (Bill) of Alpharetta, GA; a son, Dr. David Albert Woodard of Athens, GA; five grandchildren, Abigail Woodard, Annabelle Woodard, William Pittman, Anna Harriette Pittman, and Samuel Pittman; and her first cousin, Mary Winn Harley Pruet of Waycross.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (December 5, 2020) at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.

Due to Covid-19, all attendees are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.

A recording of Mrs. Woodards graveside service will be posted to her guestbook page online following the service for anyone who couldn’t attend.
