She is a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. She was a school teacher in the computer lab at Ruskin Elementary School. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Coed 1 Sunday School Class and the Central Baptist Church Orchestra. She was the director for the 3 yr. old choir.
She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Carter of Waycross; two step-children, Kyle Phillip Carter and Tiffany Michelle Carter of Waycross; parents, Dr. A. L. Woodard and Harriette Harley Woodard of Waycross; a brother, Dr. David Woodard (wife Dr. Michelle) of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Susan Woodard Pittman (husband Bill) of Decatur; three nieces, Abigail Woodard, Annabelle Woodard, and Anna Harriette Pittman; a nephew, William Pittman; and two aunts, Carol Harley of Waycross, and Nazelle Woodard Whittle of Augusta; and several other relatives.
