"Mr. George Bryson, a prominent and influential citizen of Sumner County, died at Gallatin this morning at 4 o'clock. Mr. Bryson has been a sufferer with rheumatism and had an attack yesterday, but was otherwise in good health, nothing being thought of his ailment. He became suddenly worse, however, and died this morning from heart trouble. Deceased was a Confederate veteran, having served in the civil war as a member of Gen. Bate's regiment. He left eight children. Mr. Bryson was extensively engaged in truck and general farming."
