Phyllis Hunter


Phyllis Hunter, 54, of Bluff Mountain Road, Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004.

Mrs. Hunter was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Hot Springs and an active member of the Spring Creek Fire Department Auxiliary.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by her parents, Lionel Brooks and Agnes Flemming Brooks of Spring Creek; husband, Harold Hunter; daughter, Misty Hunter Peek and husband, Philip Peek, of Leicester; son, U.S. Marine Corporal Jonathan Hunter of Camp Lejeune; sister; Shirley Brooks Speight of Hot Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church. The Revs. Frank Willett and Ricky Townsend will officiate. Burial will follow in Reynolds Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home, 1750 N.C. 213, Marshall.
