He was born in Daviess County and was the owner/operator of Superior Welding Service Inc. for more than 20 years. He was a member of Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy A. & Ruby M. Bailey Bratcher. A brother, R.C. Bratcher, died in 1989. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Lancaster Bratcher; 2 daughters, Mrs. Billy (Cindy) Osborne of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Mark (Sandra) Payne of Maceo; 6 grandchildren, Amy Bartlett, April Payne and Marcus Payne, all of Maceo, and Latasha Shelton, Travis Shelton and Glenn Shelton, all of Owensboro; 4 brothers, Edwin Bailey Bratcher of Ridgeway, IL, Raymond Bratcher and Charlie Bratcher, both of Philpott and Darrell Gene Bratcher of Louisville; and 1 sister, Mrs. Alex (Mary) Pence of Owensboro. Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 2-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
