LaVern "Bud" C. Kosmerchock was born on Feb. 8, 1922, in Manawa to Frank and Gladys (Guerin) Kosmerchock. He graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1939, and moved to Wausau to join the CCC work force at Rib Mountain State Park. He married Verna Will in 1943. Bud then worked at Curtis Woodworking before being drafted into the Army. During World War II he served in the No. 594 Ambulance Co. with General George Patton's 5th Army. He landed nine days after the invasion at Normandy Beach. Upon returning home Verna and Bud welcomed the birth of their daughter. Verna passed away in 1974. Bud retired from Jarp Industries in 1987.

Bud married Jeanette Seliger Zarda in 1974 and lovingly became father to her four children. He and Jeanette enjoyed traveling and dancing. Watching dad and mom waltz around the dance floor was heaven. They also enjoyed time spent in the Northwoods of Wisconsin with their children and grandchildren.

Bud was a member of Elks Lodge No. 248, American Legion Montgomery-Plant Post No. 10, and was a life-member of V.F.W. Burns Post No. 388. He was a avid golfer and enjoyed helping his kids with building projects. Jeanette passed in 1994. Bud continued to travel with their children.

In 1995 Bud married Geraldine Mink Ketchum Antuk Richardson.

Bud's wish to be buried with his wife, Jeanette and he was buried with her in the Christus Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
