She was born on August 19, 1921, in Adair County to Rissie and George E. Burton, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Coffey.
Mrs. Coffey is survived by one son and daughter in law, Rev. D and Joyce Coffey of Russell Springs; three grandchildren, Dana and Brian Coffey of Russell Springs and Scott Coffey of Bloomington, Indiana.
Other survivors include three sisters, Nellie Coffey and T. Coffey, both of Fairbury, Illinois and Bertha Bryant of Russell Springs.
Mrs. Coffey was a retired grocery store clerk. She was also a member of the Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 2, 1996, at Bernard Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Smith, Rev. Antle and Rev. Bobby Bryant officiating. Special music provided by The Crossroads Four.
