Robert Q. Cook was a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, aged 91 years. He was the husband of the late Donna Cook; the father of Robert Cook, Raymond Cook, Rosanne Cook, Richard Cook, Ronald Cook, Russell Cook, and Rebecca Cook. He had 33 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. He also was the brother-in-law of Dean Winters.

Robert entered the US Army Air Forces during World War II, and in recognition of his service, he was honored with burial in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. He was interred with his wife Donna, who had predeceased him by almost two years.

Friends were welcome for visitation on Sunday evening, October 30, 2011, at Price Funeral Chapel in Citrus Heights, California, then invited to attend services on Monday, October 31, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lodi Ward Chapel (731 North Ham Lane, Lodi).
