Irene S. Hardy, 89, of Leisure Years Nursing Home, Owensboro, formerly of Curdsville-Delaware Road in Daviess County, died Thursday, November 16, 1995, at the nursing home. She was born in Daviess County, was a homemaker and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Curdsville and the church's Altar Society. Her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Hardy, died in 1983.
Survivors include 3 sons, Ira M. & Murry L. Hardy, both of Owensboro, and Ellis A. Hardy of Sorgho; 13 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Burial in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today and from 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
