CLINTON - Jay W. Bell, 80, of Clinton, died at 5:30 Friday evening, July 24, 1942, at the state hospital in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Reeser Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. H. B. Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Bell was born at Clinton, January 17, 1862 the son of George W. and Phoebe (Williams) Bell. He married Ollie Blue in Clinton November 25, 1893, they later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Arthur M. Bell Sr., Clinton and a sister, Mrs. Mary Caroline (Bell) Gideon, Clinton. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ethel (Bell) Murphy, infant son George W., brother Rowland H. Bell and sisters Marsella (Bell) Lutz, Flora (Bell) Aughinbaugh-Lowe.
