ALDEN - Goldie Harrison, 92, died Jan. 26, 2012, at her residence in Alden. She was born March 1, 1919, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Bill and Bessie Winters. She was a longtime Alden resident. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Alden Baptist Church, Mid-K Campers, both of Alden.
In 1935, she married Pete Hooper in La Mar, Colo. He died in 1958. On Sept. 29, 1959, she married Norman Harrison in Ratone, N.M. He died Feb. 23, 1995. Survivors include: a son, Pete Dorsey Hooper, Startford, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by sons, Melvin Hooper and Ron Langel; daughters, Melzora Owens and Carol McCleskey; grandchildren, Curtis Hooper and Mike Langel and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with Rev. Bob Bethell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the funeral home, with the family present. Burial will be in Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden. Memorials may be sent to Food Depot at Santa Fe, New Mexico, in care of the funeral home.
