The death of Anton Romer, a well known merchant of Mt. Pulaski, occurred at 2:30 o'clock Monday morning at St. Clara's hospital a few hours after he submitted to an operation. Mr. Romer operated a cigar store for a number of years and his death is quite a shock to the community, as he had been ill in the city three days. The decedent was born Oct. 28, 1877, and died on his fifty-second birthday. He married Margaret Houlihan of Lincoln June 27, 1908, who with the following brothers and sisters survive; George, Jacob and Herman Romer, Mrs. Albert Dillsaver and Mrs. F. J. Roth of Mt. Pulaski, and Mrs. T. E. Duff of Lincoln. Rev. P. J. Barry of Elkhart, will conduct the funeral at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Thomas church in Mt. Pulaski. Burial will be in Mt. Pulaski cemetery.
