"Frank Doozan, Sr., passed away suddenly at 4 p.m. Tuesday at his home. Age 76 years. He was born Oct. 1, 1886 in Trizig, Austria. He had resided in Saginaw since June 8, 1911. He married Mary Manik on Dec. 16, 1911. She predeceased him Nov. 16, 1962. The deceased was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, and its Holy Name Society. Prior to his retirement in 1943, he operated a grocery store. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Frank Doozan, Jr.; and Carl W. Doozan, both of Saginaw; Mrs. Clara A. Stuecker, Flushing; Mrs. Harry Bedwell, Peshtigo, WI; 15 grandchildren; also one brother and one sister, Mrs. Kate Lazan, Harrietta, MI Joseph Doozan, living in Yugoslavia.
Funeral service will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the McIntyre Chapel, 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Msgr. John J. Sonefeld will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Thursday, where they will meet at 8 p.m. Friday to say the Rosary."
