Hattie Eudora Head was the daughter of Jesse Head and Eliza Adeline Bacon. She married Nemuel Brown on 18 April 1882. Hattie was the mother of three children; a son, Winfred Brown, born 1883, and two daughters, Lois Brown, born 1885 and Ina Brown, born 1887.

Death of Mrs. Hattie Brown.
Mrs. Hattie Brown, wife of Nemuel Brown, died at her home, nine miles southeast of Emporia, on Saturday evening at 4 o'clock. By her death she leaves three children, one son and two daughters, the youngest of which is four years of age.
Mrs. Brown was married in this city ten years ago to Nemuel Brown, and was a daughter of Jesse Head of this city. She leaves a host of friends and relatives who will mourn her early death. The funeral took place from the residence of Joseph Brown, 116 Rural street, at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
