ROHR, Chester Lincoln Of St. Jacobs, died comfortably, in the presence of his family, early in the morning of February 18, 1997, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. He was in his 86th year.

Born in Roseville, he was prede- ceased by his parents, Sam and Laura; brothers, Eldon and Leslie and two sis- ters, Iva Rohr and Greta Stevens. Grace, his wife, whom he missed so much, died in 1978. He is remembered by his sisters, Hilda MacDonald and Reta Bierman and a brother-in-law, Earl Stevens and his wife Mary. Chester's children are Patricia and Camille Gaudet, Clint and Sandra Rohr, Marlene and Franklin Jonas, Marjorie and Gord Neil, Terry and Gilla Rohr and Bonnie and Cliff Ziegler. His 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren will miss his teasing and humor in the many ways he related to them.

Chester retired as a worker from the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in 1976. He and his family lived in Conestogo for many years. Since 1984, he lived among close friends at Spruce Lawn Seniors' Residence in St. Jacobs. Chester's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. His funeral will be Friday, February 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo, where he took an active role as a long time member. Pastor Frank Haggarty will lead the worship celebrating the mystery of God's gift of life. Interment will follow in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Conestogo.
