Died at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital Thursday, Jan. 7. He was 45, a native of Gloster, Miss., and resided at 4968 Hammond St. He was an automobile mechanic.
Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, when religious rites will be held, Rev. James Pardue officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Centreville, Miss.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Newella F. Rowell, Baton Rouge; a son, Darryl Rowell, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Madelyn Villar, Mrs. Carol Tanner and Miss Janis Rowell, all of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Robinson [sic Robertson], Mrs. Rowena Travis, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Annie Delaney of Vidalia; three brothers, Farley Rowell, St. Francisville; Hoyt Rowell, Vidalia; William Rowell, Baton Rouge, and six grandchildren.
