Survived by his wife, Mrs. Newella F. Rowell, Baton Rouge; a son, Darryl Rowell, Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Madelyn Villar, Mrs. Carol Tanner and Miss Janis Rowell, all of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Robinson [sic Robertson], Mrs. Rowena Travis, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Annie Delaney of Vidalia; three brothers, Farley Rowell, St. Francisville; Hoyt Rowell, Vidalia; William Rowell, Baton Rouge, and six grandchildren.
