Obit- C. Luverne Malakowski, died on November 10, 2008 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. He attended school in Lockhart, MN through the eighth grade and then joined his father in the family farming business. During his farming years, he supplemented his income by driving school bus and working at National Iron in Duluth, MN. He worked there until retiring in 1983. At that time he moved back to the family farm, where he stayed until moving in with Chris, who he lovingly called "his daughter-in-law", and granddaughter, Megan. He resided in Fargo, ND until his death. Luverne enjoyed driving his truck, taking his dog, Freddy, everywhere. He was an avid Twins fan. Luverne liked hunting; fishing on Lake of the Woods and surrounding smaller lakes, and of course, Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. If he wasn't doing this, he was making time to do things with his grandchildren, visiting friends and relatives, or mowing lawn.
