"Mrs. Amarilla Files died of typhoid fever, at the home of her son, Dr. C.A. Files, East Main street. Mrs. Files was the wife of Matthew Files, one of the leading farmers of Union township. She was a kind hearted lady and had the esteem and respect of the entire community. The funeral service was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The remains were laid to rest at Woodland."

"Mrs. Amarilla Files, wife of Matthew Files, died at the home of her son, Dr. C.A. Files, last Saturday night, of typhoid fever, aged 61 years. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Woodland cemetery."
