Hannah, daughter of Maj. Samuel and Mercy (Tozer) Tubbs, first married Capt. John Hammond in 1772. Together they had at least five children; Amariah (1773-1850), David (1774-1862), Lazarus (1777- 1848), William (1780), Claria. (1784-1862)

Hannah then married Daniel Cruger, 1792 at Bath, Steuben, New York. They had only one daughter, Hannah Cruger. (1793-1867) Some branches of the tree have spelled the name Kruger.

1st Husband, John Hammond of Connecticut.
He served in the Revolutionary War from Connecticut.

2nd Husband, Daniel Cruger, supercargo, worked for The Dutch East India Company. He was a Huguenot.
