Obituary:
Marlin, July 28. The funeral of N.G. Johnson, ages 82, who died of heart failure Saturday afternoon at Hamlin, where he was visiting, was held Monday afternoon with interment at Little Flock cemetery, the family burial ground, near Temple. A. B. Johnson of Marlin, as son of the deceased, and his family, as well as a number of his Marlin friends, attended the funeral.

A native of Alabama, but a resident of Bell County for 52 years, Mr. Johnson had lived for many years at Heidenheimer, his home at the time of his death. He was a Confederate veteran, spending two years in a federal prison during the war between the states. Surviving are six children. Mrs. Johnson died about four years ago.
