Margaret "Maggie" Gallegos, age 75, a resident of Los Lentes, NM, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.
Maggie was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church where she volunteered for many years as a CCD teacher.
Maggie was known, loved and considered a mother by many in the community. Maggie was a great cook, baker, author, seamstress and flower arranger.
Maggie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Demesio Maés and Seferina Márquez Maés and son, Randy Gallegos Sr.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Gallegos, eight loving children, Dave and his wife, Petra, Mike and his wife, Elizabeth, Tanya, Jeanie, Richard and his wife, Trish, Tim and his wife, Michelle and Margaret, daughter-in-law, Geraldine, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way, four sisters, Senaida, Sylvia, Molly and Diana and half brother, Joe.
A viewing will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at the San Clemente Catholic Church on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Los Lentes Catholic Cemetary. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
