LYON MOUNTAIN — Anna Pageau, age 97, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at her daughter's home in Morrisonville, N.Y., under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Witherbee, N.Y., Dec. 30, 1914, the daughter of the late John and Rose (Music) Bingel.
Anna enjoyed bird watching, gardening, playing cards, bingo, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Mary (Douglas) Carrow of Lyon Mountain, Geraldine Suhocki of Schenectady, Bernadette (Marshall) DuBray of Morrisonville and Pauline (Donald) Wooster of Peoria, Ariz.
She is also survived by her granddaughter, Ann (Glenn) Acosta of Dove Canyon, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Christine and Matthew Acosta of Dove Canyon, Calif., Kellen Louis of Morrisonville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Gerald Pageau; son, Gerald Pageau Jr.; granddaughter, Jean (DuBray) Pulsifer; her brothers, John, Walter, Carl and Anthony; and a sister, Mary Bingel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain with the Rev. Theodore Crosby as celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Country or a charity of choice.
