Parents were Lewis Franklin Thomas and Cora Belle Murry. The following obituary was printed Nov. 24, 1994 in the Fresno Bee Newspaper. THOMAS, JAMES-of Clovis died November 20, 1994. Age 78, Born August 7, 1916 in Holdenville, Ok; he was a retired truck driver for California Motor Express. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Thomas of Clovis. Four sons: Bill Fitzgerald of Klamath, Danny Hester of Clovis, Ronnie Ellis of Redding, and Jack Davis of Clovis; Two daughters: Clara Schwartz of Fresno, and Sharon Snow of Lemoore; sister Cora Bell Lagow of Tulare; brother Jack Thomas of Holtville; 18 Grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Also survived by a very special caring friend, Karen Replogle. Funeral services will be held at the Clovis First Southern Baptist Church at 1363 5th St., Clovis. Rememberances may be made to Hospice of Fresno at St. Agnes, 1303 E Herndon, Fresno, CA. 93710 (The four sons listed were not his biological children. Bill Fitzgerald was his step-son, the other three boys were their foster children.)
