She was born December 15, 1918, in Sheridan County, to Barney and Regina (Robben) Dickman. She was a teacher and homemaker and a lifetime area resident. She married William John "Bill" Feldt July 28, 1941, in Angelus. He died March 13, 1967. She married John "Jack" Hamer May 29, 1979, in Oakley. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society, St. Catherine Circle of Daughters of Isabella, Oakley Garden Club and Delta Kappa Gamma and was a Bible study leader, all in Oakley.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons: Bill Feldt, Hoxie; Tom Hamer, Overland Park; and Mike Hamer, Zion, IL; three daughters: Karen Dawson, Garden City; Kathy Weigel, Oakley; and Mary Hamer, Kansas City, MO; four brothers: Robert Dickman, Grinnell; Ed Dickman, Menlo; Gilbert Dickman, Lakewood, CO; and Al Dickman, Oakley; four sisters: Sister Regina Marie Dickman, Concordia; Burgie Albers, Oakley; Sister Mary Martha Dickman, Salina; and Jean Rietcheck, Grinnell; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 25, 1993 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley, with Father Roger Meitl officiating; burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Oakley. The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph School, Oakley.
