He was born in Holyoke, Mass., and was the son of the late Thomas J. McNee, Sr. and Mary J. Moynihan McNee.
He was married to Dolores Ulrich McNee. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 14th.
Earl was a 1949 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Holyoke, Mass. He excelled in all sports playing football, baseball and basketball.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955.
He was a professional drycleaner by trade. He retired in 1996 from C&D Battery, Leola. He was a member of St. Joseph s Catholic Church.
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Margaret, wife of Jere Kuhns of Naples, Fl, Susan, wife of Dennis Petratos of Lancaster, Julianne Leonard of Lancaster and Jennifer, wife of Michael Figlio of Victoria, MN; a son, Earl F. McNee, Jr. of Conestoga; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two brothers, Thomas McNee of Orange, Mass. and John McNee of Holyoke, Mass. A brother, Donald McNee and a sister, Mary Allen, preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph s Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday at 10AM. Relatives and friends will be received at the church from 9-9:50AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph s New Catholic Cemetery.
