The Lanier native lived in Port Wentworth 55 years. He was a member of Atlantic and Garden City Primitive Baptist churches and Landrum Lodge 48. He was a retired employee of Union Camp Corp. after 36 years of service and a WWII veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Mildred Hamilton; a daughter, Mrs. Kathy H Lancaster; a son, William R Hamilton all of Port Wentworth; a brother Schirm D Hamilton of Louisa, Va.; a sister, Mrs Delores H Kirschler of Palm Bay, Fla.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden City Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
