He was a member of 207 Lodge of Strict Observance of Richmond, AF&AM No. 58 Day Lodge of Louisa, Scottish Rite Valley of Richmond, ACCA Temple Shrine, Royal Arch Chapter #9, and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle E. Hamilton of Louisa; one sister, Deloris Kischer of Palm Bay, FL; two godchildren, Megan and Cody Atkins; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held 11am, February 18, 2003, at Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Jim Thornton. Family received friends from 7pm to 8:30pm on Monday at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Kents Store.
